Feng Hsin, one of the major rebar makers in Taiwan, has decided to raise the list prices of rebar by TWD 200 per tonne for this week.

Meanwhile, the company kept the list prices for the section steel and purchase prices of scrap unchanged for this week.

After the adjustment, the rebar prices are at TWD 19,200 per tonne. The section steel prices are at TWD 21,100 to TWD 21,300 per tonne and the scrap purchase prices are at TWD 11,700 to TWD 12,500 per tonne.

Industry sources indicated that the demand has remained soft even though the downstream buyers believe the rebar prices have almost touched the bottom.
