It is reported that Feng Hsin, one of the major steel long product makers in Taiwan, has announced to remain its list prices of rebar, scrap and section steel unchanged for this week.

After the announcement, the company's latest prices of rebar are at TWD 17,200 per tonne; that of section steel is at TWD 19,300 to TWD 19,500 per tonne and that of scrap is at TWD 9,800 to TWD 10,500 per tonne.

It's learned that buyers began to purchase last week. The whole sales volumes of rebar from distributor were about 60,000 to 70,000 tonnes, supporting Feng Hsin to remain prices unchanged for this week.

For the prospect, it's expected that rebar prices might rise in the Taiwanese market if scrap prices continue increasing.
