Feng Hsin, one of the major rebar mills in Taiwan, has announced that it decided to leave the prices of rebar, scrap and section steel unchanged for this week.

Thus, its latest prices of rebar are at TWD 20,300 per tonne; that of scrap is at TWD 13,100 to TWD 13,900 per tonne and that of section steel is at TWD 21,500 to TWD 21,700 per tonne.

Meanwhile, the firm’s new price policy for this week met market participants’ forecast.

Industry sources indicated that the international scrap price is still a key point to affect rebar prices. Therefore, some buyers have taken wait and see attitude toward the market since the foreign scrap suppliers have suspended the quotes to Taiwan.
