It is reported that the transaction prices of Taiwanese Feng Hsin's wire rod with diameter of 13mm to 20mm dropped sharply by TWD 500 per tonne to TWD 24,900 per tonne after China Steel Corporation announced to cut its December 2011 list prices of electric furnace Al killed wire rod by TWD 1,000 per tonne to TWD 25,000 per tonne.

Industry sources pointed out the transaction prices of Feng Hsin's wire rod with diameter of 13mm to 20mm declined as its products overlapped CSC's.

It's known that CSC offered EF Al killed wire rod with diameters in range of 5.5mm to 17mm. For the prospect, industry sources indicated that the transaction prices of Feng Hsin's wire rod with diameter of 13mm to 20mm would dip further in the near future due to weak demand.
