It is reported that black smoke was seen over the Fengate area of the city just before 10 AM local time on November 3rd 2011 as fire broke out at a scrap metal yard.

As per report, a fire at Sims Metal Management's scrap yard in Fengate was brought under control by three Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue crews soon after 10.30 AM local time.

Staff had been evacuated once the fire had been discovered.
