According to the data released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies, the country's construction cost index in the first quarter of 2012 rose by 4.05% YoY, while it fell by 1.3% QoQ.

In the fourth quarter of 2011, the index had increased by 0.9% QoQ and was up by 5% YoY.
