Gerdau hikes domestic long products prices by up to 7pct

According to a report, Brazilian steel long product maker Gerdau has increased the prices by 5% to 7% for some domestic customers, especially in the construction sectors.
In international market, Turkish rebar maker also hiked the prices by USD 50 per tonne on rising scrap prices and better demand.
However, the domestic competitors including Votorantim and ArcelorMittal hold to see if they will follow Gerdau's price hike.
