According to the information provided by the German steel federation Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl, in July 2012, Germany's crude steel output amounted to 3.6 million tonnes, decreasing by 3% MoM and down by 2.1% YoY as compared to the same month of the previous year.

In the first seven months of 2012, Germany's crude steel production totaled 25.5 million tonnes, falling by 5% YoY.

On the other hand, in June 2012, Germany's total hot rolled steel product output amounted to 3.2 million tonnes, decreasing 8% YoY, including 2.07 million tonnes of flat steel products, down by 9.6% YoY and 1.1 million tonnes of long steel products, down by 5% YoY.

In the first half of 2012, the country's total hot rolled steel product output amounted to 19 million tonnes, decreasing 6% YoY, including 12.5 million tonnes of flat steel products, down by 8% YoY and 6.5 million tonnes of long steel products, down by 1.7% YoY.
