Global crude steel production in July dips by 2pct YoY

World crude steel production for the 62 countries reporting to the World Steel Association (worldsteel) was 130 million tonnes in July 2012, an increase of 2% YoY as compared to July 2011.

The crude steel capacity utilization ratio for the 62 countries in July 2012 declined to 78.7% from 80.4% in June 2012. Compared to July 2011, it is 0.8 percentage points lower.
