It was decided that Norway based Golar LNG Partners will purchase LNG carrier equipped with floating storage regasification unit Nusantara Regas Satu from its parent company Golar LNG Limited. Both companies mutually agreed that ownership of the vessel is transferred to Golar LNGP for USD 385 million. The vessel will be run by Golar LNGP in the future.

Nusantara Regas Satu is a 125,000 cubic meter FSRU vessel, into which LNG carrier Khannur was converted that had been owned by Golar LNG Limited for the purpose of being put into operations for long term charter contract with Indonesia's PT Nusantara Regas. The remodeling work on the ship was completed in April 2012. NR Satu has officially been in operations since May in the same year as the first floating LNG receiving terminal in Asia.

NR Satu is expected to be chartered out to PT Nusantara Regas for 11 years until December 2022 with optional extension to three years.

Golar LNGP, which was established in 2007 as an owner as well as an operator of LNG carriers and FSRU vessels, has taken over the operations of FSRU vessels from Golar LNG Limited through ownership transfer. Golar LNGP is currently operating three ships with FSRU such as Golar Spirit, Golar Winter and Golar Freeze. NR Satu will be the fourth FSRU ship for the company.

Besides these vessels, Golar LNGP owns and operates two LNG carriers, Methane Pricess and Golar Mazo. Both vessels have been put into transportation of LNG from Equatorial Guinea and Indonesia, etc. based on long term charter contracts with UK's BG group and Taiwan's CPC Corporation.
