It is reported that recently, the H2 scrap transaction prices have remained flat at JPY 26,500 to JPY 27,500 per tonne in the Japanese Osaka market.
Even though some Japanese steel mills increased the scrap price before the holiday during July 14th 2012 through July 16th 2012, the scrap suppliers have still seen the pessimistic outlook for the Osaka scrap market.
It's known that Kishiwada Steel hiked the H2 scrap prices before the holiday, boosting the scrap average prices in the Japanese Osaka region to reach JPY 28,000 per tonne
However, scrap suppliers predicted that the Osaka scrap market would remain soft after the holiday.
