Yonhap reported that Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction Co will temporarily shut down three shipyards in the southeastern cities of Busan and Ulsan in response to a labor dispute with unionists over a massive layoff plan.

Union members have been in conflict with management since December last year after the Busan based shipbuilder announced its plan to cut about 400 manufacturing jobs as part of its restructuring plans.
