Yonhap reported that Hanjin Shipping Co has swung to a loss in the second quarter of 2009 from a year earlier due to declining trade and falling rates.

Net loss reached KRW 417 billion in the April to June 2009 period as compared with a profit of KRW 152 billion a year earlier.
