Harsco Corporation has announced new orders totaling more than USD 1 million to support two of the largest and most prominent constructions projects now underway in Latin America.

Harsco has been selected to provide rental scaffolding, tower cranes, and concrete forming systems for the construction of the luxury Hotel RIU Palace in Matapalo Beach in Costa Rica. The project, the largest beach hotel now under construction in Costa Rica, is also one of the country's first to get underway following the economic recession and is therefore seen as an early indicator of Costa Rica's anticipated return to increased tourism.

In the second order, Harsco will provide rental scaffolding and concrete forming systems to the new Instituto Guatemalteco de Seguridad Social de Occidente, a major new headquarters building within Guatemala's national health care system that is now being built in the country's second largest city, Quetzaltenango. Construction is scheduled to continue until mid 2012. The project will be the largest social services facility outside the capital of Guatemala City.
