It is reported that ILVA's board of directors approved a EUR 146 million plan to lessen the steel plant's environmental impact.
During a meeting in Milan, the board gave president Mr Bruno Ferrante the green light as well as the plan that Ferrante himself had announced last week to the Ministry for the Environment and Economic Development.
In an official statement, ILVA noted the timeliness of the company's effort through solid intervention and full cooperation with the authorities as well as constant dialogue. The company defined the process as guidelines which will allow it to look to the future with hope and faith.
