It is reported that the Japanese steelmakers planned to start the price negotiation for the tinplate for the fourth quarter of 2012 with Latin American buyers.
It is known that the Latin American buyers ask for price cut for USD 30 to USD 50 per tonne; however, the Japanese steelmaker planned to remain the prices flat.
Europe is the largest destination of the Latin American tinplate. Since the demand for Europe has become sluggish due to uncertain economy, the Latin American buyers expect the Japanese steelmaker to cut prices for the fourth quarter of 2012.
