It is reported that Japan's export prices for flat roll steel products has stayed firmly recently. Japan's new price for carbon steel hot roll coil settled at USD 680 per tonne FOB, cold roll coil at USD 780 per tonne FOB, steel plate at USD 650 per tonne FOB and vessel usage plates at USD 730 per tonne FOB respectively.

Export list prices of flat roll steel products remained stable after holidays due to faltering market sentiment, according to market sources.

Japan's HR listed prices of Asia market had already reached to USD 700 per tonne C&F before Chinese New Year, the new price is about the same recently.

Market participants used to expect the export list prices may gain by USD 10 to USD 20 per tonne, but the anticipation of price uptrend did not materialize, which lead to market sentiment becoming more bearish.

Aside from mentioned main effort products; other list prices are CGI (with G90 coating base) at USD 830 per tonne FOB, tin plates USD 1200 per tonne FOB, EGI USD 810 per tonne FOB, and base price for 304 2B stainless steel at USD 3050 per tonne FOB.
