
According to statistics, Japan exported 734,000 tonnes of scraps in July 2012, surging by 92.2% YoY.
Also, the country's scrap exports have exceeded 700,000 tonnes for consecutive two months.
In the first seven months of 2012, Japan's scrap exports amounted to 4.815 million tonnes, soaring substantially by 71.7% YoY in comparison of that in the same period of a year earlier.
In the given period of time, South Korea was the largest importer of the Japanese scraps with 2.77 million tonnes, increasing by 83.5% and China was the second largest one with 1.752 million tonnes, rising by 41%, both compared to that in the same period of 2011.
It's estimated that Japan's scrap exports would reach 8.25 million tonnes in the full 2012.
