The Korea Iron & Steel Association had hosted an import conference on December 21st 2010. More than 20 representatives of KOSA and the Korea Importers Association were in attendance, including Mr Moon Je seon EVP of KOSA and Mr Lee Byung so VC of the Korea Importers Association.

The event was also joined by 13 representatives of importing companies, such as Samchully Trading CEO Mr Park Jin gi, Daese International CEO Mr Lee Won chun and Yuwon Trading CEO Mr Lee Suck young.

The conference aimed to enhance public understanding of the steel industry through exchanges of information between the industry and importers, which combined with sound business activities by importers, is expected to stabilize the local steel market.

During the conference, Mr Do Ae jung, a team manager, gave a presentation on the steel industry's outlook for 2011, which was followed by a round table meeting between the associations and the importers.
