Lifting firm Konecranes has confirmed its new management structure, after announcing its move to a two tiered management structure as of September 1st 2009.

The new structure consists of the group executive board and the extended management team. Group executive board members are
1. Mr Pekka Lundmark chairman, president & CEO
2. Mr Hannu Rusanen EVP and head of the service business area
3. Mr Mikko Uhari EVP and head of the equipment business area
4. Mr Harry Ollila EVP and head of market operations
5. Mr Teo Ottol CFO of Pekka Lettijeff
6. Mr Ari Kiviniitty chief technology officer

In addition to the group executive board members, the members of the extended management team include the senior vice presidents of the regional organizations, the vice president of the general counsel, the vice president of human resources, the vice president, marketing and communications and the chief information officer.

Alongside these changes, as of September 1st 2009, Mr Ryan Flynn has been working as SVP and head of Konecranes' operations in the Northeast Asia region, as well as becoming a member of the company’s extended management team. Mr Flynn previously worked for Konecranes as director, ports, Northeast and Southeast Asia. He replaces Mr Ollila, who moved to his new role as of September 1st 2009.

Also as of December 1st 2009, Mr Antti Koskelin chief information officer of Konecranes became a member of the company's extended management team, as the use of modern information technology in business operations is of strategic importance.

Standard lifting business segment president Mr Pekka Pakkila is to leave Konecranes on February 1st 2010. Mr Pakkila has also served as since SVP and head of Konecranes' operations in the new Nordic, East Europe and India geographical region and a member of the extended management team. He will be replaced as SVP and head of Konecranes operations in the NEI region by Aku Lehtinen as of February 1st 2010.

In addition, Mr Tomas Myntti has been appointed director, industrial cranes, in the NEI region as of January 1st 2010. Mr Myntti previously worked as director, market operations, leading the development of global account management, sales management, sales process support and development of solution marketing. Mr Myntti will report to Mr Lehtinen and in matrix to Mr Ilpo Hakala VP and head of industrial cranes.
