Konecranes successfully acquires Bouyer Manutention

Konecranes announced that it has acquired Tours, France based service company Bouyer Manutention. BM has 38 employees and net sales of approximately EUR 5 million in 2009. BM will be consolidated into Konecranes' books in Q3 of 2010. The value of the acquisition is not disclosed.

BM is a family company founded in 1988. The company’s competences include mechanical and electrical maintenance and modernization of overhead cranes and machine tools.

Mr Jean Maxime Guhur director of Konecranes (France) SA said that "Bouyer Manutention is a valuable addition to the Konecranes Group. The company’s large contract base and strong knowledge of and relationship to the nuclear industry further strengthen our position in France."

Konecranes bought 100% of the shares in BM through the holding company Bouyer GCP.
