Konecranes is again on the acquisition path. It has recently bought out Saudi Cranes & Steel Works Factory Company and in June acquired the service business assets of Spanish crane and service company Eleve SL.

Saudi Cranes has collaborated with Konescranes in the past, previously holding a license agreement with them. Its customers are mainly in the oil, gas & petrochemical industries, steel plants, railways, workshops, power plants and other process industries in the Arabian Peninsula.

Eleve SL has established a strong position in the Barcelona area and this latest acquisition complements Konecranes' previous investments in the Spanish market. These include the gaining the Spanish crane sales and service companies Eydimen 2000 and Ausió Sistemas de Elevación SL in 2008.
