
Macroeconomic indicators - Indonesian inflation rate reached 3.79pct in 2011 - BPS
The Jakarta Post reported that the Central Statistics Agency said that the country's inflation rate reached 3.79% in 2011, far below the government's assumption of about 5.65%.
Mr Suryamin head of BPS said that in December 2011 alone, inflation stood at 0.57%. He added that foodstuffs were the biggest contributor to the year on year inflation rate with 1.62%, followed by food, beverages and tobacco that contributed 0.5%.
