Yonhap reported that South Korea's industrial electricity sales increased steadily in June 2011, fueled by a rise in demand from the machinery equipment, oil refining and automotive sectors.
The report by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy said that industrial electricity demand rose by 9.1% YoY to 21 billion kilowatt hours in June 2011, with growth numbers moving up from a gain of 8.5% tallied in May 2011.
