It is reported that Magellan Midstream Partners is seeking partners to develop a faster way to get Eagle Ford Shale oil to the company's Corpus Christi terminal.

As per report, the company's project, which will move crude oil to the coast for shipment by barge to other ports, replaces plans for a South Texas pipeline project announced earlier this year.

In March 2011, Magellan announced it was working with M3 Midstream also known as Momentum to develop a new 180 mile, 180,000 barrel per day pipeline between La Salle and Live Oak counties and Corpus Christi.

The oil was to be shipped from the terminal to Houston, Beaumont and St James.

Magellan Midstream operates 85 petroleum terminals storing more than 70 million barrels. The company also operates the largest pipeline system in the United States, about 9,600 miles long with access to more than 40% of the nation's refining capacity and exports, according to company information.
