
South Wales Evening Post reported that a man was airlifted to hospital with a head injury following a fall at TATA Steel in Port Talbot.
Wales Air Ambulance was sent to the works at around 12.15 PM yesterday following the incident.
An air ambulance spokesman said that "We attended a male in his 40s who had sustained a head injury as a result of a fall. The helicopter was called at 12.15pm and arrived on scene at 12.22 PM. The patient was taken to Swansea's Morriston Hospital to receive further treatment."
A spokesman for TATA said the man was a contractor working on site for another company. He said the man was taken to Morriston Hospital as a precaution and was conscious.
