Bernama reported that Malaysia Steel Works Bhd's first issue of 105.4 million new five year warrants on the basis of one warrant for every two existing ordinary shares of 50 sen each at 18 sen per warrant has been oversubscribed by 72.61%. The subscription closed on October 19th 2010.

Malaysia Steel Works Bhd said that "From the 5 year warrants issue, we are positive that there will be opportunity for our shareholders and warrant holders to benefit from the potential upside of our business activities in the coming years."
