McNeilus Steel breaks ground for new distribution center

It is reported that McNeilus Steel Inc has broken ground on 112,000 square foot distribution center at 123 E Larson Drive in Fond du Lac's Southwest Industrial Park. It is constructing the facility to expand into the eastern Wisconsin market.

The project is expected to create 25 to 30 jobs at the Fond du Lac facility and up to 50 jobs over the next three years. Construction is expected to be completed in October 2009.

Founded in 1948, McNeilus Steel supplies steel products such as stainless steel, structural steel, carbon steel, steel fabrication, steel construction, steel plates and alloy steel. It is one of the largest steel suppliers in the Midwest, and a fleet of over 50 trucks delivers more than 1 million pounds of steel daily.
