It is reported that McNeilus Steel broke ground for its new expansion project just a few blocks south of its current Fargo building. When finished, it'll be more than 96,000 square feet and house a USD 7.5 million machine that de coils and stretches steel.

McNeilus Steel officials said that "We positioned ourselves for these times, we've seen some spikes of recovery out there in manufacturing and feel that by the time this projects complete we're going to be ready to go."

It may be noted that McNeilus Steel bought 18 acres for the building. It can expand to 400,000 square feet in the future.
