Prices in EU are steadily going down amid low demand and holiday period with the exception of long products.
Flats product prices for September remains unchanged despite hullaballoo about revival after the summer break. This implies the lack of confidence in the market revival. There has been a feeble attempt at marginal hike in prices which seems mere tokenism.
On the other side long steel products producers have announced EUR 20 per tonne to EUR 40 per tonne base price increase + new extras, which are around EUR 25 per tonne higher than July.
