Turkish scrap market poised for rebound recently. The import scrap price is benefited by strong demand, but the domestic scrap price remains unmoved.
The current settle price of American H1 & H2 (80:20) mixed scarp and shredded scarp are separately USD 230 per tonne & CFR, USD 235 per tonne respectively. The mills nevertheless cautiously purchase depends on demand of finished products.

Japanese domestic
Japanese H2 scrap ex work price stayed at JPY 16000 to JPY 17000 per tonne in the Kanto region. However, the H2 scrap price has increased to JPY 18000 per tonne to JPY 18500 per tonne in Tokyo region due to low inventory level.
CIS domestic
The prices of steel scrap 3A grade in Byelorussian steel works are in about USD 162 per tonne DAF for 3rd decade of March. Thus the prices have declined further by USD 20 per tonne to USD 25 per tonne to the levels of the 1st decade of March. The price of steel scrap 2A, 1A, 4A grades in BMZ equal to USD 162 per tonne DAF for 3rd decade of March.
