
Birmingham Business Journal reported that O'Neal Steel Inc has acquired the assets of Denman & Davis. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1888, Denman & Davis is the largest independent full line steel service center in the Northeastern United States with locations in New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island. Currently, the company offers carbon, alloy, and stainless steel in plate, sheet, bars, structurals and tubing. The company currently employees more than 100 people.
Mr David Deinzer president & CEO of Denman & Davis will continue to oversee operations at the three Denman & Davis facilities.
Meanwhile, Birmingham based O’Neal Steel sees the acquisition as a means to expand their reach within the nation.
