Northwest Pipe Company, an industry leader of engineered welded steel pipe products, is planning a significant expansion to its Saginaw manufacturing facility. The expansion enables Northwest Pipe Company to better serve the needs of anticipated large water projects in the area.
The project includes a mill expansion that will increase the diameter and thickness ranges of spiral welded steel pipe from 96" x 5/8" to 126" x 1". In addition to the expanded mill capabilities, the capital improvement project includes two new buildings, upgraded hydrostatic testing equipment and extended cement mortar lining capabilities and new inside and outside diameter paint equipment. Commencing in Q1 of 2012, the project is anticipated to take one year to complete.
Mr Scott Montross COO of Northwest Pipe Company said that "Completion of the Saginaw expansion will allow us to leverage our ideally situated proximity to Tarrant Regional Water District's planned Integrated Pipeline Project and give us expanded capabilities to serve additional water projects in the region."
