
Northwest Pipe Company announced that it has filed with the Securities & Exchange Commission its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31st 2010.
Full Year 2010 Results: Sales for the year ended December 31st 2010 were USD 386.8 million as compared to USD 278.7 million for the year ended December 31st 2009. Net loss for 2010 was USD 1.4 million or USD 0.15 per diluted share compared to a net loss of USD 7.3 million or USD 0.79 per diluted share for 2009.
Water Transmission sales increased to USD 221.3 million in 2010 from USD 210.4 million in 2009 reflecting increased sales volume partially offset by a decrease in selling prices. Water Transmission gross profit increased to USD 20.7 million in 2010 from USD 16.1 million in 2009 due to increased volume which lowered unit costs as compared to 2009.
Tubular Products sales increased to USD 165.5 million in 2010 from USD 68.3 million in 2009, reflecting a significant increase in sales volume partially offset by a small decline in selling prices. Tubular Products gross profit increased to USD 12.3 million in 2010 from a loss of USD 4.4 million in 2009, as a significant increase in volume, particularly for our energy products, improved the recovery of fixed costs resulting in improved gross margin.
As of December 31st 2010, the company's backlog of orders was USD 258 million compared to USD 222 million as of December 31st 2009.
