
Nucor raises deformed steel bar prices by USD 20 a tonne
Nucor, the second largest steelmaker in the US has announced to raise the contract prices of deformed steel bars by USD 20 per short tonne, effectively.
It is known that Nucor cut the prices of deformed steel bar by USD 20 per short tonne in the middle of July 2012 due to decreased scrap prices.
Industry sources said that Nucor may be able to raise the deformed steel bar prices successfully as the scrap prices have been increasing recently.
