NineO'Clock reported that OMV Petrom has identified a natural gas deposit in Oltenia which could be the most important gas find on Romanian territory in the past 6 years.
The deposit's potential is to be assessed, following a number of evaluations.
The exploration well 4539 Tolea was drilled down to a 3,600 meter depth, targeting a potential large, high pressure, accumulation. The experimental exploitation of the well might start at the end of the year, after it is joined to the gas pipeline infrastructure in the area.
