The Jakarta Post reported that state gas company PT PGN is ready to build small scale liquefied natural gas terminals.
Mr Hendi P. Santoso president director of PGN declined to elaborate on the plan's details, but said that the company was currently reviewing several candidate locations such as Kalimantan and eastern Sulawesi.
He added that "There are plenty of related matters being studied: the source, the confirmation of the absorption and use of the gas. All of these are still being validated by the PGN internal team."
Mr Hendi added that the company already has a strong budget to carry out the project.
