
PKM Steel Service Inc, a global producer of heavy and intermediate structural steel, has announced an agreement to retain Mr Mark Hamade as chief operating officer for the next ten years.
Under Mr Hamade's management, PKM Steel Service will continue to focus on helping customers build innovative structures across a diverse range of industries.
President and owner Ms Frieda Mai Weis said she values the role Mr Hamade has played in the company and is pleased to have secured his leadership through 2022. She added that "I am deeply appreciative of his contributions to PKM and the community at large, and I look forward to working with him as we continue to carry out our mission. He is a smart, passionate, independent thinker."
Mr Hamade, who has more than two decades of executive leadership experience with various companies, was named COO of PKM Steel in April 2011 and looks forward to continuing his work in streamlining operations processes, optimizing production, and driving innovation for the company and its customers.
Mr Hamade said that "This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to focus on transforming the industry. I am thrilled because I'm convinced that through strong partnerships, ambitious goals, and a commitment to impact, we can transform the steel industry and people's lives."
PKM Steel projects include structures at Denver International Airport, Principal Financial Group’s corporate headquarters, Purdue University, the Indianapolis Colts training complex, National Cooperative Refinery Association headquarters, and Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City.
