Korea Herald reported that Mr Chung Joon yang CEO of POSCO has been elected as a new member of the executive committee of the World Steel Association at the association's annual meeting of the board of directors in China on Monday.

The executive committee of the association consists of 15 members, each of which serves a 3 year term.

According to a POSCO spokesperson, Mr Paolo Rocca CEO of Argentina's Techint Group has been named as new chairman of the WSA.
