POSCO has announced that Mr Chung Joon yang CEO of POSCO will attend the annual 43rd World Steel Association Conference, which will be held during October 10th 2009 to October 15th 2009 in Beijing.

POSCO said that Mr Chung is scheduled to meet with the worldsteel leadership and heads of global steel companies to explore ways on leveraging steel sustainability to create new demand as well as other measures to deal with the economic crisis.

He will also take part in the regular general meeting and board and annual meetings to discuss administrative issues at the worldsteel conference as well as participate in the panel discussion on sustainability and development of the steel industry to share and exchange views on the future of the steel industry.
