The quality of POSCO C&C's aluminum coated steel has been recognized in the United States, which has the world's largest car market.

On October 14th 2009, POSCO C&C signed a MoU with AP Exhaust Products in North Carolina to provide Alcosta on a long term contract. Under the agreement, POSCO C&C will supply 30,000 tonnes of Alcosta per year, which will be used for car mufflers made by AP Exhaust Products. The products will be supplied through POSCO America's JIT Delivery Service.

POSCO-America is playing a bigger role in helping POSCO expand its exports in the eastern part of the United States. Recently, it has established a strategic partnership with the North Carolina State Ports Authority
