
POSCO breaks ground for Gwangyang 7th CGL facility
POSCO plans to open a new production line for car sheets in a bid to secure supply capacity for steadily rising demand for galvanized steel sheets.
The steel maker broke ground on April 2 for its seventh facility for the continuous galvanizing line within its Gwang-yang Works. The KRW 300 billion facility, with an annual capacity of 500,000 tonnes, will be completed by March 31st 2012.
The No 7 CGL plant will be specialized for galvanealed products and carbon steel sheets coated with zinc on both sides.
