POSCO gave 10 awards for innovative steel technologies at the Steel Technology Conference on August 19th 2009.

The steel technology awards, deemed the most prestigious awards within the company, were conferred by chief technology officer Mr Hur Nam suk and other executives based on how the technology progressed and how it can be applied in the actual field.

Established in 1988, the awards are given to groups that developed core technologies. This time, the awards included one eutectic technology and three technological challenges for this year.
