Korea’s prestigious research-oriented university POSTECH and the University of New South Wales of Australia are collaborating to find ways to achieve low carbon green growth.

POSTECH and UNSW held a joint workshop on energy and materials at the International Center of POSCO on June 25.

Renowned academics from the two universities, who have been actively involved in energy and materials studies, participated in the workshop. The workshop had three sessions: Iron & Steel Making Technology, Green Energy and Nano Materials for Energy.

Mr Lee Jae-sung vice president of POSTECH said that “At the workshop, POSTECH and UNSW had in-depth discussions on low carbon green growth, which is deemed a growth engine for the future.”

He said that “With this opportunity, I hope the two universities not only proceed with conducting joint research but also implement a national research project in the future.”
