Division of Information Technology Convergence at POSTECH hosted the International Symposium on IT Convergence Engineering at the school's POSCO International Center for two days on August 19th 2010 and August 20th 2010.

The event featured some of the world's top notch scholars in the field of autonomics, biotechnology, nanotechnology and medial science who are gathered from Germany, Japan, China, Vietnam and the US, just name a few, as well as top Korean scholars of IT convergence engineering.

The event's program included speeches and discussions on convergence among differing fields of science and technology, nano, communication, bio, network, autonomics and medical, to bring advancement the field of ubiquitous health and environment, which is widely considered as a next generation technology.

Selected as a World Class University in the field of IT technology by the Korean Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in 2008, ITCE continues its specialized researches in the convergence of IT, nano and biotechnologies with heavy focus on ubiquitous health and environment.
