POSTECH has signed a MoU with Institut Teknologi Bandung, a top university in Indonesia well acknowledged for research, pledging to promote joint research on steel technology.

The two universities agreed to launch joint research activities on steel technology development, as well as exchanges of research staff. The agreement also includes joint research related to iron making, steel making, rolling and other steel making technologies to be used at the Krakatau POSCO integrated mill.

The Krakatau POSCO mill is expected to contribute to stable operation of local integrated mills, while joint research activities are anticipated to stimulate the development of steel technology experts, serving as a model for academic-industrial cooperation.
