Business First reported that the Peregrine Co, a Louisville based industrial scrap-metal service company, has acquired the business and assets of Sparta, Tenn based Sparta Steel from owner Mr Carl Bullis.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Mr Bullis will remain with the company and lead Sparta Steel’s operations as chief operating officer and vice president of the steel products distributor.

Mr Stuart Ray founder and president of The Peregrine Co said “Sparta Steel has an outstanding reputation as a sheet steel provider. The acquisition a logical vertical integration into non rime steel product.”

Mr Bullis said “His company has had a relationship with Peregrine for nearly 10 years and this will be an outstanding combination for our customers and employees. Stuart and I look forward to building on the great reputation and relationship Sparta Steel has with its customers and suppliers.”
