
Philippines targets USD 10 billion of annual FDI
The Philippines said that it aims to boost foreign direct investments in call centers, factories and shipyards to more than USD 10 billion a year, as President Mr Benigno Aquino strives to create jobs and bolster growth.
Mr Gregory Domingo trade secretary said that the Philippines received 24 business teams in the first half of 2012 from countries including Russia, Turkey and Japan. Investors are keen on shipbuilding, agriculture, energy, steel, garments, and business process outsourcing.
