
Production pruning - ArcelorMittal Dunkrik to restart the BF in mid Jan
ArcelorMittal Atlantique (Dunkrik) in France has said it will restart its third blast furnace in the middle of January as it has been stopped the operation by the end of 2008.
The capacity for the blast furnace will make up for the reduction in production at ArcelorMittal Mediterranee, which has one blast furnace will be stopped for repair in the first quarter of 2010.
The Dunkrik facility has annual capacity of 6.7 million tonnes of slabs and 5.3 million tonnes of HRC.
