BS reported that production at Essar Steel Algoma could rebound significantly next month.

Mr Jatinder Mehra CEO of Essar Steel said that "There appeared to be a spike in demand and from July onwards, Essar Steel Algoma in Canada would be operating at 80% capacity."

However, Essar Steel and JSW Steel in the United States have been operating well below 50% capacity.
